Summer break is over!
Chandler Gallery is pleased to present Swimming!, a group exhibition at Minnesota Street Project in San Francisco from July 25th through August 27th, 2026. An opening reception will take place in Gallery 201 from 3 to 5pm on Saturday, July 25th. All are welcome to attend.

Swimming! presents work rooted in the equally otherworldly and delightfully mundane experience of being in water. The show brings together artists who approach swimming from many different angles: as sport, as play, as performance, as health, as ritual, as transcendence, and as simply a profoundly ordinary human shared experience.
These artists tap into the oh-so-human urge to move through water - something that is not our natural element - and what is found when we take the metaphorical and the not-so-metaphorical plunge.
